A friend wanted "a massive, colourful painting" to decorate his rather drab flat. I felt it was time to brush up on my brush ups and obliged. I worked around a loose "tropical" theme following a discussion about what he and his flatmates' interests are, which include all things tropical. So I made a sort of massive, colourful heap of tropical compost, the only remnant of a once marvelous eco-system.
When no-one is looking it drops seeds onto the ground below, knowing that the day will come for it to rise again.
Approximate dimensions are 150X100cm
